WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:
JMEC was part of the design team for 3 sections of the Cypress Viaduct Replacement Project (Sections B, C & F), and have completed the analysis, design/check of PS&E under various contracts as described below. The bridge structures were designed following the Caltrans I880 Cypress Viaduct Replacement Project design criteria.
For Section F, JMEC was responsible for the design and prepared PS&E for a $20 million 6-lane 1,200' West Grand Avenue Viaduct (Precast Alternative). Pretensioned Bulb-T Girders with CIP deck were used to span 126-ft over the SPTC railroad. The precast alternative was the winning bid over the CIP alternative.
JMEC provided design services during construction including review of shop drawings, field visits, and responding to RFI's.
